CWN President

The president of Capital Women’s Network typically serves on the board for a minimum of two years as president-elect prior to her role as president. The president oversees all board meetings and monthly luncheons, and keeps the focus and mission of the network aligned.

2026-2027 President Tracey Downling

As Program Director for Experiential Learning at Florida State University (FSU), Tracey focuses on partnerships and services that expand student access to and engagement in experiential learning opportunities. Career highlights include being elected President of the international work-integrated learning focused Cooperative Education & Internship Association (CEIA), publishing the Making Your Internship Count book for student interns and employers as well as circumnavigating the globe as the resident Career Services Staff on the Fall 2011 Voyage of Semester at Sea. In her free time she enjoys engagement in service opportunities that help support women reenter the workforce or upskill as well as those aging out of foster care. Connect with her on Linked-In.

Who is eligible to join CWN?

Any woman who is outstanding in her field – as a professional or community volunteer – or committed to the mission and objectives of CWN is eligible for membership. A current member in good standing may nominate an eligible candidate for membership.

Since its founding, CWN has had its share of notable members who have distinguished themselves in their professions, their communities and through the Network.

Meeting Times

CWN meets for 5 monthly lunches between October through April on the 3rd Thursday of each month at the FSU Alumni Center from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm. There is a fall and spring social as well. Location and times for socials vary and will be announced at lunch meetings.
